Last week, the first stage of the YouthReach.eu project, which took place in Romania between May 10-17, ended successfully
The HESSA association, in its capacity as the local coordinator of the activities, ensured that the young participants benefited from valuable experiences related to social entrepreneurship.
After they have accumulated skills and knowledge in this field, it follows that the following young versions will interact directly with social entrepreneurs and discover more aspects of this world.
They will have the opportunity to see on the spot how social enterprises work and what impact they can have in the community.
This opportunity is part of the #YouthExchange #YouthReach youth exchange project and takes place in Iasi.
It is organized by YouthReach.eu in partnership with aprofem.org, Asociación EleBo and Asociatia Sustine.
Interacting directly with social entrepreneurs over the summer is sure to be a meaningful learning experience for them. Visiting social enterprises on-site will give them a hands-on insight into their operation and impact on the community.
Each day was filled with different activities and workshops designed to develop key skills and knowledge.
Sunday began with a team-building exercise on the sports field, followed by a debate on social entrepreneurship approaches. There were discussions about positive and negative habits for young entrepreneurs, ending with a role play about addressing needs and sustainability.
Monday involved choosing topics for team projects, understanding different types of businesses, and playing a board game about running a business.
On Tuesday, workshops were held on communication styles, leadership skills, and negotiation through interactive activities.
Wednesday was dedicated to developing comprehensive social enterprise projects, brainstorming ideas, planning, and outlining implementation strategies.
Thursday was the last day, full of reflection, sharing experiences, celebrating achievements, and saying goodbye as participants looked forward to the next reunion in Spain. The overall experience provided valuable lessons in teamwork, communication, project management, and understanding the practical aspects of social entrepreneurship.
